This kind of meditation is excellent for winding down at the end of the day and preparing your body and mind for a restful night’s sleep.

  • Begin by finding a comfortable position in a quiet and peaceful place where you can relax. This could be a comfortable chair, a cozy bed, or a soft pillow on the floor.
  • Close your eyes and take a slow, deep breath in through your nose. Feel the air fill your lungs, and then slowly exhale, releasing all the air and any tension you might be feeling. Repeat this deep breathing a few more times.
  • Now, imagine yourself standing on a beautiful, serene beach. Feel the warm sand beneath your feet. The sun is setting, and the sky is filled with hues of pink, purple, and orange.
  • You start walking along the beach, feeling the sand shifting under your feet. The beach is calm and quiet except for the rhythmic sound of waves crashing onto the shore. Each wave that reaches the shore brings relaxation and peace, washing away any stress or tension.
  • You can smell the fresh salty sea air with each breath. It’s invigorating and soothing at the same time. Feel the light, warm breeze against your skin.
  • You see a comfortable beach chair ahead. Walk towards it and make yourself comfortable in it. You have a perfect view of the endless ocean and the setting sun. Feel the warmth of the chair as it cradles your body.
  • As you sit and relax, you notice your breathing has become in rhythm with the ebb and flow of the waves. With each wave, you sink deeper into relaxation.
  • Stay here for a while, taking in the serenity and the beauty of the moment. Let the sounds and sensations of the beach wash over you, bringing you deeper into relaxation and peace.
  • When you’re ready to leave the beach, know that this place of relaxation is always within you. It’s a place you can return to whenever you need.
  • Slowly bring your attention back to the room. Notice how you’re feeling. When you’re ready, gently wiggle your fingers and toes and open your eyes.
